Learn To Cook Easy & Authentic Rajma Masala

It is no overselling to say that nothing trumps a well-made rajma masala or chole. If you also wish to cook mouth-watering rajma or chole, you have come to the right place. Today we are going to talk about the rajma recipe and chole recipe in detail and teach you how to make delicious rajma and chole. So, let us start with rajma, and then we’ll jump on to chole.

Rajma

Rajma is a rich dish made with red kidney beans. It is often served with rice and vegetable curry. The dish can be made in many ways, and there are many different recipes for it. The main ingredients are water, kidney beans, oil, ginger garlic paste, coriander powder, cumin powder, turmeric powder, and garam masala. There are two ways to make the rajma recipe– one way is to pressure cook the beans with all the other ingredients for about 15-20 minutes or until they are cooked through. The second way of making rajma is to boil the beans in water with all the other ingredients for about an hour or until they soften up.

Ingredients:

– 4 cups (800g) dried red kidney beans

– 2 tablespoons vegetable oil

– 1/2 teaspoon cumin seeds

– 1 onion, chopped

– 3 cloves garlic, minced or crushed

– 2 teaspoons ground coriander seed or 1 tablespoon fresh coriander leaves (cilantro) finely chopped

– 1 teaspoon turmeric powder (haldi) or ground ginger powder (adrak, lahsun)

– salt to taste

Rajma is a vegetarian dish originating from North India, Pakistan, and Bangladesh. It is a red kidney bean curry that is usually served with rice or roti. The dish has its origins in Punjabi cuisine and it can be found throughout the Indian subcontinent. Rajma can be made by soaking dry kidney beans (rajma) overnight, then boiling them until they are soft and tender. The spices are added after the beans have been boiled and cooked for about an hour. The spice mixture typically includes cumin seeds, chili powder, coriander powder, turmeric powder, and salt to taste. Garam masala may also be added to the dish for a more intense flavor. Vegetables such as carrots, potatoes, or cauliflower may also be added to the dish during the cooking time for additional flavor.

Chole

Chole is a dish from the Indian subcontinent that is made with chickpeas. It can be eaten as soup or as a curry.

Ingredients:

– Chickpeas

– Turmeric

– Cumin

– Garlic cloves

– Chopped onion

– Chopped tomatoes

– Red chili powder (optional)

Chole is typically cooked in a tomato-based sauce and seasoned with spices such as cumin, coriander, turmeric, ginger, and chilies. The dish can be eaten as soup or curry. It is often served with rice or chapatis (a type of bread). The ingredients are cooked in a pressure cooker for about 15-20 minutes, and then the mixture is pureed to get a smooth consistency.
