Winter is the best time to relish good food and hot beverages. As the weather gets chilly, we need to consume food that gives us warmth from within. Hence, it is best to have Halwa,which will not only be a treat to the taste buds but will also make the wintertime warm and soothing. So, we have provided some easy and simple to prepare Halwas which can be cooked easily in winter.

1. Gajar ka Halwa:

As the market starts getting flooded with red, sweet and juicy carrots, it starts giving us an indication to prepare gajar ka halwa for our loved ones. A very popular delicacy in Indian households, gajar ka halwa, is prepared in different ways. But, the gajar ka halwa recipe which we have stated here, is very quick to prepare. Let us read further and learn about the recipe in detail.

Ingredients:

  • Raisins or Kishmish – 25 grams
  • Kaju (chopped) – 25 grams
  • Carrots – 1 Kg (grated)
  • Nestlé MILKMAID – ½ tin
  • Nestlé a+ nourish milk – 1 liter
  • Nestlé Shahi Everyday Ghee – 2 tbsp

How to prepare:

Step 1: Take a pan and put it on a low flame. Add the grated carrots to the pan. Slowly add Nestlé a+ nourish milk and keep stirring it to evenly mix carrots, and Nestlé a+ nourish milk together. Keep stirring till the milk is dried up.

Step 2: Thereafter, add Nestlé MILKMAID and keep stirring. Keep the flame low to prevent the burning of the mixture. Keep stirring till the mixture is dried up.

Step 3: Now, pour some Nestlé Shahi Everyday Ghee into the pan and let it cook for 8 to 10 minutes. Keep stirring the halwa. Now, turn off the flame.

Step 4: It’s time to garnish and serve. So, garnish chopped raisins and Kajuand relish it hot.

2. Moong Dal Halwa Recipe:

As winter knocks on the door, automatic cravings for Moong dal halwa start happening. So, we are hereby penning down an easy-to-prepare and quick Moong dal halwa recipe which will be a sure shot hit in your home.

Ingredients:

  • Pista – 3 tbsp (chopped)
  • Kishmish or raisins – 3 tbsp
  • Almonds or badam – 3 tbsp (slice them)
  • Moong Dal (dhuli) – 150 grams
  • Nestlé Everyday Shahi Ghee – 1 cup
  • Nestlé a+ Nourish Milk – 3 cups
  • Nestlé MILKMAID – 1 tin

How to prepare:

Step 1: Firstly, take a bowl and soak moong daalfor 30 to 40 minutes. Wash and clean it first to remove impurities, color, etc. After that, grind the soaked dal into a coarse paste.

Step 2: Take a pan and heat it on a low flame. Now, add Nestlé Everyday Shahi Ghee. Stir the dal paste on a low flame and let it turn golden brown in color.

Step 3: Now, slowly add Nestlé a+ Nourish Milk to the pan and keep stirring it to avoid lumps. Let it cook till the milk gets dried.

Step 4: Add Nestlé MILKMAID to the mixture and stir it properly. Let it cook till it achieves the desired consistency.

Step 5: Mix it properly. The Moong dal halwa is ready. Now, garnish pista, raisins and almonds and serve it hot.
